Counselor in Training (CIT)
(15-17 yr olds)

April 27-29, 2007
This is the first part of the CIT training program. The weekend begins with registration at 7PM on Friday evening and concludes on Sunday at 1PM. This is a very intense time focusing on learning counselor skills as well as accepting new challenges in your faith journey. As you learn more about yourself, as well as your fellow CIT's, you will learn how to apply these new skills to various age levels. This session is almost exclusively classroom work and theory.

June 17-23, 2007
You must be invited to attend this portion by successfully completing the weekend portion. After receiving your invitation to register from the Conference Center, you can then send in the registration form for part 2. At camp, you will stay with Elementary Sampler Camp, in their rooms with the campers. You will have hands-on experience under the guidance of experienced counselors. you will gain additional experience in Bible study preparation and presentation, worship, games, evening activities, and other age level characteristics. In the afternoon each day, CIT's will gather for additional classroom work providing time for questions and accountability.

Once you have finished this process, you will be invited to serve as CIT for 1 additional week during the summer of 2006. This must be coordinated through Ree Enlow in the office.

Any CIT who chooses to attend this program must realize that they are considered a camper and as such must be accompanied by an adult who can sign them in and out. Access to a vehicle is not recommended.
